Commercial barcode scanners come with an integrated laser scanner that supports a particular set of barcode types and symbologies. The NLINK barcode solution works with these devices to receive and process the data. If your situation requires support for any special barcode symbologies, then make sure the scanners you choose can support them.
How does the barcode system handle real-time data syncing with SAP?
The NLINK barcode system uses SAP BAPIs and RFCs to post synchronously to the SAP system. Thus, results are real-time and the latest operational data is always available to all SAP users.

The same SAP User IDs that allow access to SAPGUI are used for authentication on the devices, with the same login process.
